Trevor Dawson – Australia Day Award

We are delighted to share the news, that Trevor Dawson has received a Menzies Community Australia Day Award.

trevor with kevin andrews - menzies awardTrevor joined the Rotary Club of Templestowe in July 1990.  His service to our club includes:

  • Club President 2002/2003
  • Vice President 2005/2006,  and again in 2017/2018.

Trevor has held many positions in the Club including the role of chairman of fundraising, membership, vocational service committees

Trevor has co-chaired the Templestowe Primary Schools’ speech competition since its inception, and is now assisting in the planning for the Doncaster Schools’ competition

Other service activities  have included,

  • Chairman District 9810 Conference Committee 2010,  and again in 2015
  • District Chairman Australian Rotary Health Research Fund for 3 years

During more recent years Trevor has been very involved in both the Doncaster and Donvale Bowling Clubs having served on various committees and was Vice President of the Doncaster club in 2012.

Trevor’s service to Rotary was recognised with a Paul Harris Fellow Recognition in  October 2005 and has subsequently been recognised on five occasions with addition of a sapphire to the Paul Harris Fellow Recognition.

Australian Rotary Health recognised Trevor as a Companion of Australian Rotary Health, for his services.
