The Rotary Club of Templestowe commenced the “Pride of Workmanship Awards (POWA)” in 2013 to facilitate the opportunity for employers to give recognition to employees where it is considered due.
Pride of Workmanship is the sense of responsibility to do a job well. The ability to “Do it Once – Do it Well” is one of the greatest intangible assets in our community.
The Pride of Workmanship Program enables business leaders in our community to help employees achieve the goal of job satisfaction, and publicly recognize them for their efforts.
Participating businesses promote the Pride of Workmanship theme throughout their organisation and nominate employees worthy of recognition, not only within the organisation, but the wider community. Each year we extend the invitation to employers to nominate one of their employees who are displaying qualities worthy of this award. Successful nominees will receive their awards at a Presentation Dinner organised by the Rotary Club of Templestowe. Nominees of this award are presented with a trophy in recognition of their achievements.
The Pride of Workmanship awards are held in June at a Club meeting.
