Diane Fisher – Meritorious Club Service

Diane has 22 years of service with Rotary, the last 9 years of which have been with our club.  Diane has been President at the Rotary Club of Forest Hill and was once an exchange student herself.

Diane has a lot of involvement in the District including

  • Running the Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI)
  • Coordinating the RYPEN – Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment
  • And in the last Rotary year and this Rotary year is AG for the Whitehorse A Cluster.

Diane has held many roles in our club including:  International Director, Membership and Marketing Director, Foundation Director, Secretary, Newsletter Editor and Club Compliance Officer. Diane also spent three years as a member of the ABCD Board.

Although Diane works full time and has substantial roles at District level, Diane always finds time to support her club. During this Rotary year, Diane has produced a quality weekly club newsletter, worked all day in the kitchen for our High Tea event (a role I suspect she is not in a hurry to repeat!), and worked all day at Finns Festival as well as making 12 cakes to sell on our stall.

Diane attends EVERY District Conference and has attended many International Conventions. Most  recently Diane presented to the International Assembly in California in January 2017, for RIPE Ian Riseley’s International Assembly.

In our club Diane is the ‘go to’ person for all things Rotary in our club and is always willing to help out or provide advice and has been a great help and sounding board for me during my six years in Rotary.

Diane was presented with a club created award which reads: For Consistent and Exemplary Contribution, Expertise and Support to the Rotary Club of Templestowe and its Members.
