Brian Tyedin – Australia Day Award

We are delighted to share the news that Brian Tyedin has been presented with a Menzies Community Australia Day Award.

Brian has lived in Doncaster since 1967, attended Templestowe High School, and set up his dental business with wife Jenny in 1986.

Brian joined the Rotary Club of Templestowe in 1999 and his service to our community includes:

  • Club President 2006/07,
  • President Elect for 2019/20
  • Joint initiator of the Templestowe Primary Schools’ speech competition which is now in it’s seventh year.

Brian’s has served as an Assistant District Governor, chaired several committees, and has appeared and served as the Master of Ceremonies for a number of events which includes the City of Manningham Mayoral Ball, Manningham Business Excellence Awards, Primary Speech Competition and the Rotary District 9810 District conference on four occasions.

Brian is a volunteer presenter for Rotary in Action program on 96.5 Inner FM, and a member of the Board.  His service to community includes Vice President of the Chinese Associations of Victoria and Secretary of the Ballroom Dancing Group.

He has served on St Mark’s Church Council and been a liturgical assistant for 20 years.
