Cold feat in Antarctica

Rotary Youth Exchange alumna and Peace Fellow Anabella Palacios (Duke University – North Carolina 2009-11) credits Rotary with helping her learn through travel. She continued her globetrotting studies when she joined an expedition of 89 female explorers on a voyage to Antarctica last December to study climate change. “I always thought that economic development was just about erasing poverty,” Palacios says, “but now I think that economic development and environmental issues have to be worked on together.”
