After being called into action during the Black Saturday (2009) fires by another long serving Red Cross Emergency Services member Sue Warmington decided to join the Red Cross. Helping and supporting people after a disaster or some other traumatic event when they are at their most vulnerable is a difficult but rewarding task.
For the last 10 years Sue has been to a variety of incidents like two floods, house fires, vigils, memorials, and other incidents like Bourke St incident, and DFO at Essendon.
“You meet wonderful resilient people, work with dedicated emergency services workers from many agencies. I love it!”, said Sue.
