WFK (Wheelchairs For Kids)

Wednesday September 25, 2019

In the developing world there are many needs.

High up the list is the plight of a child with a severe disability who might be unable to even get off the ground without being carried. As the child grows the problem intensifies and the mother reaches a point where her body suffers trying to get the child to school to achieve an education. Rotary Club of Scarborough Project Wheelchairs for Kids has a $200 solution which is created by 200 volunteers at the Perth workshop who create over 3,000 wheelchairs every year. An all terrain wheelchair!

Russell Hayes represents the Rotary project from Perth known as Wheelchairs for Kids and will explain all at the presentation on 25th September plus will bring along one of the wheelchairs for inspection by members.
