Rotary is an organisation that provides its members with extraordinary opportunities to take an idea and create a project that furthers our humanitarian ideals and involves other stakeholders.
Polio Plus is one such project at a uniquely global scale. Rosalind’s story, however, shows how an individual can take her teaching skills, couple them with a small missionary order, involve her Rotary club and change some of the lives of the poor in the Philippines and those who assist them in Vietnam.
These projects are small in scale, hands on and continue to involve others. As a teacher at Sacred Heart Girls’ College, Rosalind has given up school holidays to work with Religious de Notre Dames de Missions ( Sisters of Our Lady Of the Missions) and her Club, and Cluster have been involved in projects that assist this organisation to fulfill its aims in helping Women & Children, promoting local economies and supporting education.
